WILKES-BARRE — City Hall will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day and there will be no Department of Public Works services.

Garbage and yard waste collections in the downtown and South Wilkes-Barre 1 neighborhoods will be moved to Tuesday from Monday because of the holiday. The recycling collection for those neighborhoods will be on Saturday.

All other collection dates will remain as scheduled.

Starting June 3, DPW ‘s summer hours will be from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Summer hours will run through the Labor Day weekend.
