WILKES-BARRE — City police are looking for information regarding who fired multiple rounds into an occupied home on North Meade Street early Tuesday morning.

According to a release from the Wilkes-Barre Police Department, reports of multiple shots being fired into the home on an unspecified block on the street were called in just after midnight on Tuesday.

When police arrived, they found a basement window of the home had been struck seven times. A female was sleeping in the basement at the time of the shooting, but she was not struck, nor were any other injuries reported.

Police say they are “checking into several leads at this time.”
